As we are entering the new millennium of knowledge-based era, healthcare information management will be the main topic of the industry in the 21st century where standardization is a determing factor. Paper Submission and Publication Guidelines

Papers must be written in English or Chinese. Authors are requested to send three copies of the complete manuscript with a 200-word abstract and no more than 15 pages of double-spaced text (including figures and references) before February 8, 2002. Papers must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere. Each submission must be accompanied by the following information: a short abstract, a complete list of authors and their affiliations, a contact person for correspondence, postal and e-mail addresses. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition.

Submission

Papers must be written in English. The original and electronic version of paper must be submitted by February 20, 2002 to the Conference Secretariat Office. Once the paper is approved by the committee of the Conference, the authors will be informed by February 28, 2002. All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings. Paper Presentation

The author of each accepted abstract will have 15 minutes to give an oral presentation of the paper and 5 minutes for discussion. Overhead projector, LCD projector and projector (35mm slides in frame size 50mm * 50mm) will be available in every room. All slides should bear a serial number, the name of speaker and an arrow to show the direction to be inserted. All figures and tables are to be prepared in English.
