This year the 2nd conference will be held in Taipei, Taiwan from June 5 to 7, 2003. It will focus on healthcare information standards for fusion of healthcare knowledge, and facilitate development of integrated healthcare delivery systems in that area.

Submission Deadline: April 15, 2003	Notification of Acceptance: May 5, 2003
Submission of Final Version: May 15, 2003	Conference: June 5-7, 2003

1.	Submitted papers should be in English and structured under the following headings: Topic of Paper, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion. Papers should be typed and accompanied by an Abstract not exceeding 500 words. The paper itself should not exceed 12 A4 pages (Times New Roman size 12 font, double spaced), including tables, graphs and references. The deadline for submission is April 15, 2003
2.	The affiliated institutes of all authors should be stated. The corresponding author should be identified and an e-mail address provided for contact.
3.	Papers must not have been previously published.
4.	Accepted papers will be posted at HTTP://WWW.HL7.ORG.TW on May 5, 2003. Notification of Acceptance, Scheduled Presentation Time and Detailed Contents of the Conference will be sent to the corresponding author by e-mail and Registered Mail on May 10, 2003.
5.	Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their papers and will be required to sign a “Publication Confirmation and Authorization” form. This should be returned to the Conference Secretariat by fax together with the final version of the paper before May 15, 2003.
6.	To avoid interruptions in the proceedings due to withdrawal of presentations, accepted papers will only be placed in the Conference Program after presenters have paid the registration fee for the Conference.

All papers shall be submitted electronically via email to the Conference Secretariat at hl72003@come2meet.com.

The time allocated for individual presentations is 20 minutes (15 minutes for the presentation itself and 5 minutes for discussion). The Conference organizers will provide all necessary audio-visual equipment.
